Conference venue

ICDCS 2014 will be held in Madrid from 30th June till 3rd July 2014.

Workshops will be held in June 30th.

The main conference will be held from 1st till 3rd July 2014.

The conference venue will be at “Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación” (ETSIT)

Location

Travel Information.

The underground is called “Metro” (map).

The closest metro station to the conference venue is "Ciudad Universitaria" (line 6). This station will be closed during summer.  “Metropolitano” (line 6) is the closest metro station to get to the conference venue (15 minutes walking, approximately).

Metro tickets and bus tickets cost 1.5-2 € each. Tickets can be bought at metro stations. There is a ten–trip ticket  called "metrobus" which costs 12.20 €. The Metro is closed  from 2 am to 6 am. More information and prices.

IMPORTANT: Underground station: "Ciudad Universitaria" is going to be closed during ICDCS dates:

ARRIVAL

The airport is at 12 km east of Madrid.

There are four terminals. The airlines operating at each terminal can be found here.

Public Transportation to and from the airport:

Underground and Bus:

• Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (T1, T2 and T3) are contiguous. There is a metro station there, "Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3" (line 8).

• Terminal 4 (T4 and its satellite T4S) is used by Iberia and other airlines. See list of airlines in each terminal. There is also a metro station, "Aeropuerto T4" (line 8). 

The metro ticket to/from the airport terminals costs 5€.

Bus Line Exprés Atocha-Cibeles-O'Donnell-Airport:

There is a “Bus Expres” from the airport to Madrid center (5€). It operates 24 hours. Timetables to the center of Madrid and from the airport.

Taxi:

The price for a taxi ride from the airport to the city center is a flat rate of 30€.  If you need a receipt  say "Un recibo, por favor".
